Rosemary Hines
Out of a Dream: Sandy Cove Series - book 1
Rosemary Hines presents an interesting and enlightening story. She had my attention right from the start. Michelle Baron’s dream leads one to expect something different from the run-of- the- mill romance/mystery story. Yes, there is romance, yes there is mystery of a sort, however, the romance is fraught with ups and downs and contains its own mystery. Many of the events occurring in the book are true to life and the characters and their actions are, for the most part, believable.
Ms. Hines does not shy away from exploring another side of spirituality. Her descriptions of New Age beliefs as well as of Christianity can only come from an intimate knowledge of both. I found the explanations of the New Age beliefs very educational. Ms. Hines does come at the story from a Christian belief system and the comparison between the two beliefs is well done.
The believing Grandparents ring true but the conversion of a couple of others seems a little contrived. I can’t go into too much detail because that might spoil the story for others.
All in all it was a good story to read and left me wanting to know more.
